What's the Difference Between Racism and Group Pride?

Racism has certain idiosyncrasies such as irrationality. For example, ask a racist what would make him think another group is superior? He will usually agree to nothing, knowing some other group can be demonstrated to be smarter or more athletic. A white racist will tend toward intelligence, but say Jews and Asians are more intelligent according to studies but Jews are 'greedy' and Asians are...whatever they make up, they got funny eyes. A white racist will use something like group intelligence scores, but if I am black and I show my particular scores are greater than his, instead of saying this particular black man is smarter than me, he will say, must be something wrong with the test.I don't agree someone in a group without dominant power cannot be racist because it's just a matter of time and situation that the other group could get the power, and in particular situations, they may already have it. I once saw an underclass white person complaining of racism at the health department, saying black people didn't have to wait as long as she did. I immediately thought, uneducated, hillbilly racist. Then I looked around and noticed, well, all the administrators and their bosses are black, and city folk, whereas she is white, and country folk. I would hope they aren't discriminating against her but it surely isn't impossible. It requires much intellectual sophistication, brutal honesty, and committment for any of us, to fight our racist impulses.
